March 3rd marks Day 400 that Dennis has been wrongfully detained. We are anxious for him to return to us.

We watched President Trump’s clear action to bring hostages home from Gaza, Venezuela, and around the world. We have complete confidence in him and his administration to bring Dennis home. Molly and Amy will be in Washington, D.C., March 9-10 to share our confidence in person!

Recently, the FreeDennisCoyle team signaled its desire for the U.S. administration to implement the State Sponsor of Wrongful Detention (SSWD) against the Taliban for using wrongfully detained U.S. citizens for political leverage.

We look forward to the application of the State Sponsor of Wrongful Detention and of all the tools available to the US Government being applied to the Taliban until our Wrongfully Detained brother Dennis Coyle is free. @SecRubio @SebGorka @aboehler @StateSPEHA.

While in D.C., Molly and Amy also plan to attend the U.S. Hostage and Wrongful Detainee Day hosted by the U.S. Department of State. We are grateful for events like these that continue raising awareness for Dennis and others like him who continue to experience wrongful detainment.

We are deeply unsettled by news of Pakistani airstrikes on Afghanistan. Specifically, the airstrikes in Kabul intensify the distress we feel for our brother’s well being. We can only imagine how the sound of explosions worsen his already fragile mental state which suffers from prolonged solitary confinement. These events only increase our resolve to tirelessly advocate for Dennis’ release.

Dennis Coyle, a U.S. citizen and an academic from Pueblo, Colorado, has been wrongfully detained in Afghanistan since January 27, 2025. He has been held for months without formal charges being made public, and his family has serious concerns about his well-being and the severe limits on communication.Please ensure Dennis’ case remains a priority and that U.S. leadership continues pressing for a clear pathway to bring him home safely. Time is of the essence, and his family needs him back.
